Douglas Booth
Biography
Douglas Booth is an English actor and musician who took his first professional role in Julian Fellowes's From Time to Time (2009) after performing with the National Youth Theatre as a teenager. He drew wide notice as Boy George in the BBC Two drama Worried About the Boy (2010), then appeared in the BBC's Great Expectations and Christopher and His Kind (both 2011) and played Romeo in Carlo Carlei's Romeo & Juliet (2013). His film work includes Darren Aronofsky's Noah (2014) and Lone Scherfig's The Riot Club (2014), the Wachowskis' Jupiter Ascending (2015), Mr. Bingley in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016), Armand Roulin in Loving Vincent (2017) and Nikki Sixx in the biopic The Dirt (2019). He also modeled for Burberry campaigns.

First role
Douglas Booth got his start as a professional actor in From Time to Time, a 2009 children's adventure movie. Julian Fellowes directed it, and Maggie Smith and Timothy Spall appeared in it.
Big break
Booth became prominent in 2010 after playing the pop star Boy George in the BBC Two drama Worried About the Boy. For the part he shaved his eyebrows and wore heavy makeup.
First role
At the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks, Booth's first major roles came in musicals staged by the Sackville Children's Choir. He was Leader of the Rats in Rats! The Musical and Uncle Andrew in The Magician's Nephew.
Early training
By the time he was thirteen, Booth was involved with both the National Youth Theatre and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
A change of course
Booth appeared in several Burberry campaigns photographed by Mario Testino during 2009 and 2010. He starred alongside Emma Watson in the Autumn 2009 campaign and with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the Autumn 2010 campaign.
