Brian Tochi
Biography
Brian Tochi is an American actor who was born in Los Angeles and began as a child actor in the late 1960s, appearing in television series and many commercials. He guest-starred on Star Trek, The Brady Bunch, and Adam-12, and played Yul Brynner's eldest son on Anna and the King. He later became known as Toshiro Takashi in the Revenge of the Nerds films and as Tomoko Nogata in Police Academy 3: Back in Training (1986) and Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol (1987). He voiced Leonardo in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991), and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993). His other credits include Space Academy, St. Elsewhere, and Santa Barbara. In 2004 he was a co-writer, producer, and director of the comedy Tales of a Fly on the Wall, and in 2005 he was among the winners of the Hollywood Film Festival's Hollywood Screenplay Awards.

Beyond film
Tochi acted again as Crown Prince Chulalongkorn in the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera's revival of The King and I during the mid-1970s. At the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, he played opposite Ricardo Montalban, who was the King of Siam.

Tochi co-wrote, produced and directed the 2004 live-action comedy Tales of a Fly on the Wall, casting friends including Roscoe Lee Browne, Curtis Armstrong and Leslie Easterbrook.

In 2005, Tochi won top honors at the Hollywood Film Festival's Hollywood Screenplay Awards. He shared the win for co-writing the screenplay "In the Heat of the Light."
A change of course
Tochi joined the core team behind the educational news program Channel One News, helping create and develop it. Over his two-and-a-half-year association, he was later named the show's Chief Foreign correspondent.
