Plot summary
Renee Morgan leaves Evan, her son, with Cliff, her ex-husband, and drives away. A staged tire repair on the road brings a five-person crew working under Dr. Nyman, who stun her, chain her inside their truck and take her to a warehouse laboratory. There she is held on a table in a locked room. Blake, a captive in the next cell, calls to her through a vent and explains that the captives are made to confront their own fears. Another captive, Seth, tells her to hold onto a phrase, G10 12X. The group, run by Terrence, has watched subjects around the world for decades, and Renee's terror of spiders becomes part of their work.
