Plot summary
Turk and Rooster have been partners in the New York City police for almost thirty years. A killer nicknamed The Poetry Boy leaves short poems beside the bodies of criminals who escaped justice. The partners look into the killing of a pimp, Robert "Rambo" Brady, and a poem found on him makes him the killer's tenth victim. Detectives Karen Corelli, Simon Perez and Ted Riley work the same case from a younger team. Friction grows between the two groups because Turk now shares a home with Corelli, who once dated Perez. Police psychologists watch recordings in which Turk speaks of how much he admires his longtime partner.
