Biography
Donnie Wahlberg is an American singer, actor and producer who became known as an original member of New Kids on the Block. He was born in Dorchester, a Boston neighborhood. His first film role came in Bullet (1996), followed by a kidnapper in Ransom (1996). He gained notice as a patient in the opening of The Sixth Sense (1999), then played Carwood Lipton in the miniseries Band of Brothers. He played Detective Eric Matthews in the second Saw installment in 2005 and reprised the role in Saw III (2006) and Saw IV (2007). Other credits include Dreamcatcher (2003), Annapolis (2006), Righteous Kill (2008), What Doesn't Kill You (2008) and Zookeeper (2011). On television he starred in Boomtown and as Danny Reagan in Blue Bloods, and he has hosted Very Scary People since 2019. His work on Wahlburgers earned two Primetime Emmy Award nominations, and the Saw films brought him a Choice Scream nomination at the 2006 Teen Choice Awards.
