Rex Smith

Rex Smith is an American actor and singer who first drew notice as a teen idol in the late 1970s. He made his acting debut on Broadway in the musical Grease in 1978, and he later returned to the role of Danny Zuko for a touring production of Grease in 1995. In music, his 1979 recording of You Take My Breath Away, taken from the television film Sooner or Later, climbed to No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. He played Frederic for the New York Shakespeare Festival's Central Park staging of The Pirates of Penzance, earned a 1981 Theatre World Award for it, and took the same part in the 1983 film The Pirates of Penzance (1983). He is best known as motorcycle officer Jesse Mach in the 1985 series Street Hawk, and he was the first actor to portray Daredevil in live action, in The Trial of the Incredible Hulk (1989).
