Plot summary
At Tromaville High School, Chrissy Goldberg writes a student blog and takes her frustration out on Lauren, a new student, while her boyfriend Eugene leaves her unsatisfied. The head of Tromorganic Foodstuffs, Lee Harvey Herzkauf, plots with Principal Westley and the President of the United States; they intend to feed students radioactive tacos, and all three worry that a rogue student blogger will expose them. Lauren throws water at Chrissy in the lunchroom, the two fight and then stare at each other, and both land in detention. Chrissy's friend Zac asks Lauren out, and her refusal angers him. A student named Terrence Horowitz mutates after eating the tacos, and Principal Westley blames marijuana. At a memorial assembly, the glee club changes on stage into a mutant gang called The Cretins.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Return to Nuke 'Em High Volume 1 (2013)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- A different fourth Nuke 'Em High film, Battle of the Bikini Subhumanoids, was announced in 1996 and built through a fan contest in which winning two-page entries were added to a collective screenplay; despite a script being finished in 2000, it never got past pre-production.
- Initially slated to be a single installment, Kaufman split the film into two volumes, much like The Toxic Avenger Part II and Part III, after a suggestion from director Quentin Tarantino, à la Kill Bill.
- For the first time, Troma relied on Kickstarter, raising a small amount of funds specifically to support the film's "animal actor", Kevin the Duck.
