Plot summary
In Del Mar, a giant interrupts a celebration and Puss in Boots brings it down, but a church bell crushes him. As he recovers, the doctor warns him that eight of his nine lives are spent and he should retire. Puss refuses until a wolf wounds and disarms him in a pub duel, then moves into the home of Mama Luna, an elderly cat lady, as a house cat. Months on, he meets Perrito, a chihuahua disguised among her cats. Goldilocks and the Three Bears come to hire him to steal a map that shows where the Wishing Star lies, find his grave and leave. Puss resolves to find the Star and wish for nine lives again, heading for the lair of Jack Horner, a pastry chef who collects magical relics, where Kitty Softpaws also wants the map.
