Plot summary
Stan Grayson plays clarinet with a big band in New Orleans. In a nightmare he sees himself kill a man in a mirrored room while dirge-like music plays. He wakes to find blood on his skin and bruises on his neck, and a key from the dream is in his hand. He tells his brother-in-law, police detective Rene Bressard, who dismisses the problem. Stan, Bressard, Stan's girlfriend and Stan's sister take a picnic in the country.
