Plot summary
In 2001, Teddy Walker declares he is done with school and walks out of his exam. Years later he sells barbecue grills and dates Lisa, a wealthy woman. When he proposes to her in the store, a champagne cork hits a propane tank and the building explodes. His boss takes the insurance money and moves to Florida. Marvin, his best friend, can hire him at his investment firm only if he has a GED. At Piedmont High the principal is Stewart, whom Teddy bullied as a teenager, and Stewart claims the school has no night classes. Carrie Carter teaches one, and Teddy enrolls, keeping it from Lisa while he works in a chicken suit.
