Plot summary
Stranded in Africa since their plane went down, the zoo animals learn the penguins have taken off for Monte Carlo. Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria follow, hoping to fly back to New York and the Central Park Zoo. The penguins and the chimpanzees Mason and Phil have been winning at the casino, and when the friends' attempt to reach them ends in chaos at the Hotel de Paris, hotel security summons Monaco's animal control chief, Captain Chantel DuBois, who wants Alex's head for her taxidermy collection. The animals escape by air, but the plane fails over France, and they board a circus train, where Alex passes the four of them off as circus performers to a troupe bound for Rome and London.
