Plot summary
Wayne is in his final shift as sheriff of a small town when ravens descend on it. The birds are crazed, and they attack the people and eat human flesh. A shunned farmer had tried to warn his neighbors that the town was about to be besieged by the ravens. The birds keep coming, and Wayne and the townspeople around him band together to survive. Cynthia, Wayne's wife, is away at a Mennonite farm, where she has come to say a last goodbye to her friend Gretchen and where she has a secret to tell about where the fierce ravens came from.
