Plot summary
A Soviet space station breaks apart, and its debris falls over New York City and lands in a subway tunnel where Jason Cole works. The station had carried experiments on genetically altered giant spiders. A coworker, Jimmy, is sent to inspect the damage and is found dead, with egg-like objects inside his body. Jason takes one egg to his wife Rachel, a health official, for testing. Back in the tunnel with a security crew, he and the team find a nest of strong, carnivorous spiders.
