Plot summary
Astro-X's technology has kept sharknadoes from forming for five years. Fin Shepard lives on April's Acres, a farm in Kansas, with his young son Gil and his mother Raye. His cousin Gemini accompanies him to Las Vegas, where his son Matt, back from deployment in Iraq, is marrying Gabrielle. At Astro-X, Colonel Gilbert Shepard works on a weaponized mech suit alongside his granddaughter Claudia and the scientist Wilford Wexler. Matt and Gabrielle marry and jump from a plane, and a sandstorm rises that the company's technology cannot diffuse. It absorbs the water and the sharks from the giant tank of Aston Reynolds' new shark-themed hotel, and the flooded streets of Las Vegas fill with sharks.
