Plot summary
John Wick wants only to be left alone with his dog, but the underworld will not release him. Santino D'Antonio arrives at his home holding a marker, the medallion sealing a blood oath John swore when Santino helped him complete the task that won his retirement and his marriage to Helen. John refuses what Santino asks, and Santino destroys his house with a grenade launcher. At the Continental Hotel, Winston reminds John that the marker is one of the underworld's two unbreakable rules. Bound by it, John travels to Rome, where Santino wants him to assassinate his sister Gianna, who is about to take her seat at the High Table.
