Plot summary
Dillford, Ohio, is home to three species that despise one another. Vampires rank highest in the town's social order, zombies are kept compliant with special collars so they can leave their ghetto, and humans sit in the middle, wary of the vampires and dismissive of the zombies. Dag, a high school nerd, wants to lose his virginity with Lorelei, the most popular girl in school. His former best friend Ned is a gifted student whom his sport-loving father and his teachers only scorn. Petra, a social outcast, is bitten by Milan, the school's playboy vampire, and left to cope as a vampire on her own. Then aliens arrive in Dillford, the residents blame one another, and the three species go to war.
