The Dawn Express (1942) on Netflix

Plot summary

Nazi agents under Captain Gemmler are hunting a formula that would give ordinary gasoline far more power, and two chemists who could not supply it have been killed. The spies turn to two others on the project: Tom Fielding and Robert Norton, who is engaged to Nancy, Tom's sister. At The Tavern, an Alpine-style restaurant, Tom gets to know Linda Pavlo, a Polish refugee; Robert warns him the next morning to be careful of women he meets that way. Government agent James Curtis tells Franklyn Prescott, president of the chemical company, about the killings. Prescott explains that his plant holds one half of the formula and an East Coast plant the other half, and Curtis reports that the eastern plant was sabotaged by its own chemist, Karl Schmidt, who took half of it.
