Plot summary
A fortune in furs is taken from the Flawless Furs warehouse, and the guard is killed with a prosthetic hook. The killer is known as the Claw, Steve Michel, who works with accomplices. Detective Dick Tracy questions the store owner, Humphries, the insurance representative Peter Premium and the investigator Cudd; the insurance company has one day to recover the goods or pay the fur company. At the morgue, Tracy and Patton find a note naming three perpetrators and a truck called Daisy, but the thieves disguise the truck and the lead goes nowhere. From a junkyard hideout the robbers reach a bar to telephone their boss, and a blind beggar, Sightless, overhears the call.
