Plot summary
Harvey Bogardus is convicted of killing a man he believed was having an affair with his wife, and the court sentences him to the electric chair. Reporter Matt Fraser, who is dating Joan Renwick, is assigned to speak with her father, Dr. Paul Renwick, the physician who is interviewing Bogardus. Renwick has a theory that a strong-willed soul can survive the death of the body, and he expects Bogardus to prove it. The execution is carried out. That night the spirit of Bogardus comes back and takes possession of Renwick's mind, and the physician's body begins to obey a will that is not his own.
