Daphne & Velma (2018) on Netflix

Plot summary

Daphne Blake hosts a web show about aliens and the supernatural, while her online friend Velma Dinkley holds that logic explains everything. Daphne tells Velma that her family is moving to Ridge Valley, the town where Velma attends high school. On her first day at Ridge Valley High, Carol, her senior advisor, guides Daphne through the campus and its advanced gadgets, all made by Bloom Innovative, the technology company run by Tobias Bloom. Daphne spots Velma during the tour, but Velma says nothing to her. That afternoon, Daphne watches a classmate, Spencer, walk into an open locker as though in a trance. At home, her father admits he has watched over her all her life trying to make everything perfect, and Daphne vows to handle things on her own.
