Plot summary
Joe Talbot is a college student, and he owns an heirloom pendant. The pendant is the key to a scepter, and that scepter opens the doors into the Crossworlds, another dimension. Joe's father came from a dimension other than this one, and the working of a crystal that can decide a war between the dimensions depends on Joe. The struggle to save the world sets him against Ferris, an arch-enemy. When Laura arrives to check on the key, Ferris' goons begin their assaults on the pair. Joe and Laura then turn to A.T., a semi-retired adventurer, for help and guidance.
