Plot summary
The Townsend Agency's three operatives, Natalie Cook, Dylan Sanders and Alex Munday, have just pulled U.S. Marshal Ray Carter out of a Mongolian outpost. Their colleague Jimmy Bosley, John Bosley's adoptive brother, works alongside them. Charlie then sends the Angels after titanium rings taken from the Department of Justice that display the names of everyone in the witness protection program. A Justice Department official and a protected witness are dead, so the three pick up the trail of an assassin, Randy Emmers, at the victim's house in San Bernardino and follow him to a beach, where Madison Lee, a former Angel, turns up. At the Coal Bowl motorcycle race Emmers goes after Max Petroni, a teenage witness, and the Angels move to shield him.
