Plot summary
Marshall Stouffer spends the summer of 1967 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where his older brothers Mark and Marty put him in their filmed stunts, which he dislikes, and show the footage to their friends in the garage. Mark and Marty want to film the country's dangerous animals, and the idea gets a start when they spot a rare camera in the shop where their film is developed. Their father Marty Sr. says the family cannot afford it until their mother Agnes offers the money she has saved for her Hawaii vacation. The brothers buy the camera, plan a camping trip, and their father is against the idea.
