Plot summary
On Pandora, Roland, a mercenary soldier who seems to have gone rogue, kidnaps the teenager Tiny Tina with help from Krieg, a Psycho held in the same institution. On another world, the bounty hunter Lilith is contacted by Atlas, a corporate magnate, who convinces her to rescue his daughter. Lilith returns to Pandora, the planet she left as a child, and Claptrap, a robot programmed to wait for her there, leads her to the girl.

- Eli Roth said his French bulldog's pooping gave him the idea for the robot Claptrap while he was pitching Borderlands, and a scene of Claptrap pooping was kept in the finished film.
- Kevin Hart trained with United States Navy SEALs before he auditioned for the role of Roland, the mercenary, in Borderlands.
