Plot summary
In 1977 the government decodes a transmission from the alien Antareans: a race called the Worg is coming to destroy Earth. The Antareans send a battle suit for a Champion of Earth, and a boy named Adam is trained from birth to wear it. Thirty-eight years later, Officer Anthony Hagan takes Zach Spencer in over a disturbance at a party, then finds Woody Johnson and Herman Mendoza setting off fireworks without permission. Herman launches a rocket that strikes an incoming UFO and brings it down. The craft opens on the battle suit, and the four men take a piece each. Worn together, the pieces activate and lock to their wearers: Zach's arm cannon fires energy projectiles, Hagan's gauntlet makes an energy field, Woody's helmet raises his intelligence, and Herman's boots carry him at superhuman speed. The military detains them.

- Rooster Teeth funded the film by crowdfunding: the Indiegogo campaign passed its $650,000 goal in under 10 hours, broke the site's record for the fastest film campaign to reach $700,000, cleared $1 million in three days and finished above $2.4 million, the highest funded film campaign Indiegogo has hosted.
- On the campaign's last day Rooster Teeth offered a single fan a walk-on role. Within 20 seconds 535 people bought the perk, slowing the site's ticketing system, so all 535 of them were used together in a crowd scene.
- Co-writers Chris Demarais and Josh Flanagan tore up and rebuilt the entire third act of the script a week before cameras rolled.
- So that Achievement Hunter's video schedule would not stop, Gavin Free and Michael Jones banked a month of content before the shoot, then spent about half of their days off during filming back in the office making videos instead of sleeping.
