Plot summary
Chasing a suspect through space in 2058, Space Cop passes through a time rift and lands in 2007, where he spends the next eight years as a Milwaukee police officer. A heist at a cryonic storage facility brings him up against two alien criminals, and the department gives him a new partner: Detective Ted Cooper, an officer from an earlier era who had been cryogenically frozen and is only now thawed. Cooper is methodical and follows the book, while Space Cop is impulsive and destructive. Both are assigned to catch the Gold Digger, a criminal who takes only items made of gold.

Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Because the small production's facilities could only support one larger set being built at a time, the filmmakers had to construct and strike sets sequentially throughout the shoot.
- For a scene of a pot of boiling water on a stove, the filmmakers avoided using actual boiling water for safety and instead had cast member Rich Evans blow air through tubes attached to the bottom of the pot to fake the bubbling effect.
