Plot summary
Andrew Marsh, an elderly millionaire, dies with cocaine in his system. His will gives his lover Rebecca Carlson $8 million. She is the main suspect, and she says she is innocent. District attorney Robert Garrett charges her with murder, arguing that she deliberately overexcited Marsh during sex to bring on his death and collect the money he left her. The death followed an erotic encounter involving bondage and homemade pornography. Attorney Frank Dulaney believes her account and agrees to represent her, and though he is married to Sharon, he begins an affair with Rebecca while he prepares her defense in court.
