Plot summary
John Buckingham is an introverted bank clerk in St Albans who has worked at the same bank for ten years and has never had much luck in love. Rather than wait any longer, he orders a bride from Russia through an internet service. Nadia arrives at his house. She speaks no English and he knows no Russian, but the two of them find ways to get along. She is sexually bold, while he is shy and uncomfortable. For her birthday, a man Nadia presents as her cousin Yuri arrives with his friend Alexei, who is quick to show his temper.
