Better Off Single (2016) on Netflix

Plot summary

Charlie Carroll leaves his job and his girlfriend behind on the same day, and for a moment the arrangement looks like freedom. Then he tries dating in New York City, where he learns quickly how badly the whole thing can go. He starts to question the decision, since living single is not something he is built for, and ordinary life may not suit him either. Unemployed and unattached, he is pushed into a stretch of self-exploration so intense that fantasies, flashbacks and hallucinations crowd his days, all of it in the service of finding new love and a firmer idea of himself.
