Another Simple Favor (2025) on Netflix

Plot summary

Five years on, Stephanie Smothers works as a true crime vlogger and amateur detective, and she has written a book about the friendship between her and Emily Nelson, who went to prison. Emily turns up at a signing, filing an appeal and preparing to marry Dante Versano, a wealthy Italian whose family has mafia ties. She wants Stephanie as her maid of honor, pressing the offer with promises of bigger book sales and the threat of a lawsuit. In Capri, the group gathers: Dante, Stephanie's agent Vicky, Emily's ex-husband Sean and son Nicky, Emily's mother Margaret and aunt Linda, and Dante's mother Portia, who says Emily is only after the money. At a pre-wedding lunch, Sean and Dante argue bitterly.
