Dan Levy

Dan Levy, a Canadian actor, writer, producer and director born in Toronto, began his career on MTV Canada as one of the original co-hosts of MTV Live and later shared hosting duties on The After Show and its various spinoffs. He moved into acting with a story arc on Degrassi: The Next Generation and appeared in the comedy-drama Admission (2013). His breakthrough came with Schitt's Creek, the series he created with his father, Eugene Levy, and in which he played David Rose from 2015 to 2020; the part earned him four Canadian Screen Awards. In its final season he won Primetime Emmy Awards for acting, writing, directing and producing, becoming the first person to win in all four of those disciplines in one year, while the show took all four comedy acting prizes.
