Plot summary

Jules Daly works in an antique store in Buffalo, New York, and cares for her niece and nephew, Maddie and Milo, since the death of their parents. She loses her job, and the children's babysitter quits after one of Maddie's pranks. Then Paisley Winterbottom, butler to the children's grandfather, arrives with an invitation to spend the holidays at Castlebury, saying the Duke is ill. Jules agrees for the children's sake. At the palace the Duke is in good health, and Jules meets Prince Ashton, brother of her late brother-in-law Charles.
