Plot summary
Three years after their mother died, Emily and Ben Chandler have driven away the twenty nannies their father David has hired. Ben's pet rat turns up in the clothes, and appliances are sabotaged. Kate Hewitt lives with her father, Jerry, and cares for him, and she needs work. A job as a nanny for David's family in Beverly Hills comes her way. The children treat her as just another maid and expect her to leave, but Kate takes their incidents well.
