Plot summary
Danny gives his son Remi a wiener dog. Remi has come through cancer, and Danny tells his wife Dina that the boy is grown up enough to share the work of looking after it. Dina wants nothing to do with the animal. She takes Wiener-Dog to the veterinary clinic to be spayed, and on the way Remi grows upset. Dina calms him with an embellished tale about a childhood dog of hers that, she says, died while delivering a litter of stillborn puppies. During a yoga class the parents attend, Remi and the dog rip apart the couch cushions.
