Plot summary
Nancy, a young American, is traveling through Italy when she takes shelter in a villa in an unnamed coastal city. The house is full of strange guests, and almost nothing in it seems right to her. Among those staying there is Alex, a retired pimp, and the two begin a relationship. The stopover turns into an absurd, decadent stay in a household that has more in common with Alice in Wonderland than with the country she was passing through.
