Plot summary
Trinity is a lazy gunfighter whose draw is unnaturally fast. His horse drags him on a travois to a way station, where he takes an injured Mexican prisoner away from two bounty hunters. In the next town, the sheriff guns down three of Major Harriman's men. The sheriff is Bambino, Trinity's brother, an escaped robber who took the badge while he waits for his own gang. Major Harriman wants the valley that pacifist Mormon farmers work, so his unbranded horses can graze there. Trinity, taken with two Mormon sisters, wants the settlers left in peace, and the brothers agree to a temporary partnership against Harriman.
