Plot summary
Tobias Durand steps out to buy a pen for the divorce papers he is about to sign when Almut Brühl's car knocks him down. At the hospital she offers to cook a meal for him and his wife at the restaurant she is preparing to open, and he says nothing about the divorce. He comes to the restaurant alone and tells her about it; they are drawn to each other and go back to her place together. The next day she cooks for him and demonstrates how to crack an egg. Months later Almut says she is unsure about having children. Tobias tells her he hopes to have a family with her and that he is falling in love; she says she cannot promise him that.
