Matt Kennard

Matt Kennard is an English actor whose television work has included British soap operas, drama and children's series. Born in Grimsby, Humberside, he took an early role in the Channel 4 series Love in the 21st Century in 1999, and went on to appear in Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and Doctors, as well as playing the Manchester United footballer Duncan Edwards in a BBC dramatization of the Munich air disaster. In 2007 he joined the cast of Doctors as the nurse Archie Hallam, a part he played until his final episode aired on 27 April 2009, when he left to concentrate on film work, among it Born of Hope (2009). He played Craig O'Leary in the seventh series of Waterloo Road and Dave Schmidt in Bula Quo!, released in 2013, the year he also had a short stint in Emmerdale as Kirk Stoker. He appeared in the CBBC series The Dumping Ground in 2016.
