Plot summary
On a near-future Earth, an all-knowing technology has taken the place of contact between people. The story is told through separate lives that stay far apart, touching on loneliness, death and what a life amounts to, until those lives collide. A storm and a meteor shower then disrupt electronics everywhere, and the fallout turns deadly. Among the people the stories follow are David, Ben, Brian, Olivia, Charlie, Claire, Anna, Nina, Liam, Dora and Ron.
