Plot summary
A British archaeologist, Professor Aitken, wants proof that the lost city of Atlantis existed. With his son Charles he sails aboard the Texas Rose under the command of Captain Daniels, and the engineer Greg Collinson provides the diving bell for the search. On the first descent a reptile-like sea creature breaks in through the floor of the bell. Greg jams a live wire into its mouth and kills it with the current. The two men then find a golden statue. It is hauled up to the deck of the ship, and the find is taken as a sign that the lost city is real.
