Second Time Lucky (1984) on Netflix

Plot summary

In heaven and hell, an old dispute over the fate of humanity comes down to one final game. The Devil telephones God with a proposal: he bets that if God picks two young people to be new Adam and Eve, they will sin again. God accepts, and the wager will decide whether humans get one last chance at Heaven or are condemned to hell. The players are a twentieth-century couple, sent back through time and set down in a series of tableaus: the Garden of Eden, Ancient Rome, World War I, the Roaring Twenties and their own modern era. In each place they face temptation and carnal desire.
