Plot summary
Andy Colby is twelve, with plenty of free time and a habit of watching movies. At a video store he asks the clerk for a real adventure. The clerk hands him a tape that is not yet on the shelves, and two rules come with it: keep hold of the remote, and do not sit close to the television. Bonnie, Andy's sister, is pulled into the set instead, and Andy, who has lost his grip on the remote and come too close to the screen, goes in after her. He crosses videos and static-filled channels, meets characters from past movies, and faces trials to reach Bonnie, who is held by Lord Chroma.
