Plot summary
At twenty, Ellen is a college dropout who has not made progress in an in-patient program for anorexia, and she comes back to the household of her stepmother, Susan, and her father. Her father will not deal with it, so Susan arranges a meeting with a specialist, Dr. William Beckham, who leads a program for patients and wants her to join it. Ellen is reluctant, but her younger half sister, Kelly, changes her mind. She moves into a house with six other residents, among them Luke, a ballet dancer recovering from anorexia and from a knee injury, who encourages the others.
