Plot summary
Filmed in spring 2021, before a UK tour, the documentary follows Nick Cave and Warren Ellis as they bring songs from Ghosteen and Carnage to a stage for the first time, accompanied by singers and a string quartet. Interludes look at how the music was made and what its themes are. Cave is also shown writing The Red Hand Files, the site where he answers questions from fans, and visiting a London sculptor's workshop where work continues on his series of stoneware figures about the devil's life. Marianne Faithfull appears.

- Andrew Dominik initially planned to turn down Nick Cave's request to make the film, because the COVID-19 pandemic left him no time to travel to London to shoot, but changed his mind after relistening to Ghosteen. The shoot took five days.
