Plot summary
After a war against zombies that killed two billion people, the surviving undead are confined to a secure island, where the luxury resort known as the Rezort sells paying guests the chance to shoot them. Melanie comes with her boyfriend Lewis, hoping the trip will settle the psychological damage the war left her with. Archer, a quiet veteran, joins the same safari group, along with the teenage gamers Jack and Alfie and Sadie, whose fiancé left her before the wedding. The owner, Valerie Wilton, welcomes the guests, and their guide Nevins takes them out to the pens, where the first zombies stand restrained and easy to kill. Melanie finds she cannot bring herself to fire. Camped for the night, she and Sadie argue about whether killing the undead for sport is right.
