Plot summary
Vic DeSalvo and his brother Goody run a trucking business in New Jersey, and Vic wants to make it in Hollywood as a producer. He takes his scripts and ideas to one network executive after another and is turned down every time. Parker Braithwaite, an executive who has just lost his job at a second-rate company over a show nobody watched, takes on Vic's script and arranges a pilot of Sittin' Pretty. The episode is dreadful in both acting and story, and when its director and its star walk out, Vic decides to write, direct and act in it himself.
