Plot summary
Jairus takes his sick daughter Tamar to Sepphoris, where his friend Cleopas says a doctor may be able to help her. The doctor tells Jairus that the girl's condition cannot be cured. In the city Tamar sees Jesus, a carpenter working on a new synagogue, defend a woman named Mary Magdalene. Jesus leaves Sepphoris to visit his mother, Mary, and John the Baptist baptizes him in the Jordan River. He begins to preach in Capernaum, where Tamar and her mother, Rachel, listen to him.

- The film is mostly stop-motion, but the filmmakers deliberately switched to hand-drawn animation for flashbacks, parables, visions and spiritual encounters so viewers could tell those sequences apart from the main story.
