Plot summary
Work as an actress has been scarce for Ann Darrow when Carl Denham offers her a part in his new picture. She boards the Venture and sails with the crew to the shoot. During the voyage she meets Rick, a young sailor, and his monkey Chips, whose mischief causes trouble on board. Jack Driscoll saves Ann when cargo nearly crushes her. The Venture reaches Skull Island, where the natives greet the crew in a friendly way. They then ask that Ann be left with them as a sacrifice, and the giant gorilla King Kong carries her away into the jungle.
