Plot summary
Atlantica, an underwater kingdom ruled by King Triton and Queen Athena, is full of music until a pirate ship kills Athena and Triton forbids music and any travel to the surface. Ten years later his youngest daughter, Ariel, and her six sisters live by a strict routine set by their governess, Marina Del Rey, who dislikes the post and covets Sebastian's place as the king's attaché. Ariel befriends a young tropical fish, Flounder, who leads her to a hidden club where Sebastian performs in a secret band. The musicians fear she will report them, but Ariel, remembering her mother, sings and swears to keep their secret.
