Plot summary
Anne arrives at her father Anthony's flat after he has driven away yet another caregiver. Anthony has dementia: he forgets events and mislays things, his watch among them, and he believes a caregiver took it. He tells Anne he will not move out, and she answers that she plans to live in Paris with a man, and that without help he will have to go into a nursing home. The next day a stranger, Paul, is in the flat, saying he is Anne's husband and that Anthony lives with them. Anne comes back, though to Anthony she looks like another woman. A new caregiver, Laura, arrives to be interviewed, and Anthony tells her he once worked as a professional dancer and needs no assistance.
